Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC)

Centre for Virology, Vaccinology, and Therapeutics (CVVT) was established in collaboration with the Department of Microbiology of the University of Hong Kong in 2020 at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. It is part of the Health@InnoHK initiatives, funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC), with a mission to advance knowledge and translate research discoveries into practical applications for the control and prevention of infectious diseases. CVVT serves as a central hub for bridging the gap between impactful basic research and technological advancements, particularly focused on combating prevalent and emerging infectious diseases, especially in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area of China.
